A word from the creator of this program: Dr. David

Hi Folks,
We have been developing a concept in our group that seems to be
working well. It's fun and it will build your YLEO business. It
is a
scriptural oils program that can be done in living rooms,
churches,
and other public places that is duplicatable and appeals to a
whole
segment of society we might otherwise not be getting to. What we
do is schedule a program entitled something like "HEALING OILS
OF THE BIBLE."
We have found churches receptive to the idea. I tell the pastor
right
up front that I sell essential oils and, of course, hope that I
might
attract a few new customers, but that the program is entirely
educational and no selling will take place at the meeting. I give
him
or her a copy of my program notes and the YLEO brochures on 12
Oils of Ancient Scripture. I also show them the YLEO Scriptural
Oils Kit. We have found that churches are not only willing to
provide the facilities for the meeting, but will put it in their
bulletins
and newsletters on the church calendar. I tell the pastor that I
will
put some posters around town and place an article in the local
newspaper publicizing the event. Most churches look upon this as
outreach and like the idea of attracting new people who are not
members of their congregations to come to a program on their
grounds. We encourage everyone coming to bring their Bibles.
As for the program itself, we build it upon the Twelve Oils of
Ancient Scripture Kit, but also use Exodus II, Three Wise Men,
and
the 7th Heaven Kit which all contain Biblical oils. We pass
around
all of the oils as we talk and take turns reading the appropriate
scriptures from the Bible.
We open the program by passing around the YLEO blend of JOY,
which is mentioned in the Bible in Isaiah 61:3 as "The Oil of
Joy"
and in Psalm 45:7 and Hebrews 1:9 as "The Oil of Gladness." We
finish up with Spiknard, which is mentioned in the Bible five
times
and was the last oil received by Christ before going to the
cross. In
our closing we ask "When Jesus was anointed with Spikenard just
before his arrest and crucifixion, was it on his feet or on his
head?" We take a poll. Some will say head. Some feet. Then we
read Mark 14:3 and John 12:3-8.
The programs have all been extremely well received and everyone
wants to do it again. The last time we did it (in St. Louis) we
put a
couple of announcements in local publications and got so many
calls that for about half of them we had to take their name and
number and tell them that this session was full and we would let
them know of the next one. Our facilities were too small.
We have found that after passing around more than a dozen of
these spiritually uplifting oils, by the end of the program,
people
are so excited and happy they don't want to leave. The program
takes two hours to present. After one of our presentations, which
was from 7:00 PM to 9:00 (with about 20 people present), no one
left for over an hour afterwards and the whole room was buzzing
with people talking with each other. Some even stayed until after
11:00 PM they were so thrilled by the information and by what the
oils had done for them. One lady had come with a splitting
headache and by the time we had passed the first two or three
oils
around, she was headache free and felt great.
I have worked up a complete set of notes (10 pages) that serves
as
a handout to participants and an outline for the program, itself.
I
have also an additional set of 4 pages of instructions to the
program leader that explains in detail exactly how you or any
other
YLEO distributor can do this program. You don't have to be a
Bible
scholar or expert on the oils. All you need are these notes.
The success of this idea has exceeded our expectations and has
turned out to be one of the funnest things we ever did in Young
Living. And what's more, it is teachable and duplicatable to your
downline. The notes are designed so that you can tailor them to
your needs to make the program as long or as short as you wish.
For anyone who is interested, I would be glad to send a complete
set of the 14 pages of notes, in camera-ready form, with
permission to duplicate as many copies as you wish.
